Paris, New York, 1970, Serge Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin (naked), guns, car chases and airplanes; I wonder why Sixcyl hasn't seen this movie yet!? ... Maybe because it is extremely crappy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Excuse me, but I wouldn`t call it crappy although it has got a lot of rough edges. The soundtrack, however, is psychedelic Gainsbourg at its best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jO43ZWdEOY |

I actually really like his music; in fact I have known that song for years but didn't know it was a theme song for a film |

I know what you mean. He was a brilliant, versatile composer throughout his entire career. Nevertheless, he is just not that convincing as a professional hitman. But some of the other actors in this movie actually are. |

From the same Pierre Koralnik, I have in my hard disk Anna with same Gainsbourg but with Anna Karina as lead. It's been almost two years that it landed home, and until now I couldn't find the courage to dismember the thing and post it on IMCDb. (Though it's full of cars.) Maybe it's a sign 50sParis sent to me in the IMCDb meta-space. |

I have the pics for Anna, not many cars, can upload tomorrow if I have time; I didn't like that one either honestly, it seems like a bit of a poor remake of Demy's 'Les parapluies de Cherbourg'. Both Anna Karina and Brialy are capable of so much more. |

But again, great music by Gainsbourg |

Well… great little pop music, then, and let's call it dead heat. So, I'll let you do Anna. (I thought there were a lot of outdoor scenes in Paris, hence many cars. But my memory is often faulty, as I said before.) |

In a lot of acenes the three main characters are inside a silver metallic Citroen DS Cabriolet. Only for about a second the car is clearly seen by far outside. |
