![]() Page originally opened with pics from trailer, now completely revamped from full film. A gentle Irish film with a lightweight story, but strong and very perceptive undercurrents, excellent characters and script and comes across as a very genuine film, not the carefully calculated sentimental fluff which is the usual template. And some very funny moments. Debut film as writer and director by Nick Kelly who was the brains behind one of The Great 1990s Bands That No-One Ever Heard Of - The Fat Lady Sings ("Cider, whiskey, the penguins and me" is one of my favourite lines in any song ever).
