The car driven by Ryan O'Neal in Love Story is an MG TC and not a Morgan, see the link below: Link to "us.movies1.yimg.com" That very same car still exists, and is now the property of the daughter of the original ownwer, see: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/mg-tabc/message/34463 Lanciauto |

See this picture with Ryan O'Neal at the wheel (right hand drive!) and Ali McGraw next to him in the MG TC: http://www.dvd.nl/images/reviews/1786/shot3_large.jpg I have owned a TC since 1962 and I know one when I see one ![]() |

To whoever posted that the car is in the posession of the origanl owners family is wrong. Its in my uncles garage in Greenport, NY. My uncle just bought that exact car a few years ago (the one used on the movie set) so I can get info for it if you'de like..... It's so much more beautiful in person, I'll try to get a better pic than this...I live in Florida and he lives in New York so it may be a couple days. |

Has anyone of the Sirs around here the balls to admit, that he's crying, while watching this movie? ![]() I cannot participate, because I haven't seen it ever. It's enough, to listen to ladies, who are talking about it. |

I did not. There are better romantic movies imho - for example The Notebook. |

I had to look it up to know which movie "The Notebook" really was, now i know it's "El Cuaderno de Noah" in Spanish i too have heard of it very well too, specially from some partners of mine a couple of years ago, they said they liked it a lot. |

In general, I prefer Horror movies to Romance. But I have seen "The Notebook" and I liked it. I will admit I cried some during that film. I don’t see what’s the big deal with people being astonished at those (whether they are male or female) who cry during a film. If making the viewer(s) cry is one of the flim’s objectives (provoking an emotional response) then the film did what it was intended for. |

For the record two MGTC's were used in the movie, the one on the east coast was used for 90% of the movie. The one on the west coast, was was used with most of the film winding up on the cutting room floor but none the less it is used in the movie and at the time was in either Look or Life magazine. My mom leased her then car to Paramont studios for about $200.00 through a neighbor friend who worked on the film (no credit given, Mike Jarvis, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1300098/ ). Today I own this car and it resides in Eugene, OR. If you really pay attention to the cars in the movie you'll see that indeed two were used. |
