Well, this Masahiro Shinoda's movie is full of drama, psychodrama, melodrama, verging to hysteria when the film is reaching its last third. It seems to be a rather radical attempt to illustrate the OEdipus complex theory… and it's almost funny in the end. This said, and the complete director's despise for cars added, let's do a justice to the cinematography which, now and then, treats us with speechlessly beautiful landscapes, urban or out countryside. See for instance this one with a red light before a train track I selected for rjluna2: Or this vision of Tokyo: But you who are here for the cars, this is not the one. Even the two with a part —an ambulance and a coupé— are mistreated. Tant pis. PS: no CGI inside. -- Last edit: 2013-10-23 06:50:42 |
