This movie was pretty cool, the acting was very poor but the cars were awesome. |

I don't think this movie might get a DVD release main reason for this are all those 50s music they used i it which very likely is still copyrightet |

Nice selection of cars! I'm sure the first movie was better, though. /movie.php?id=71788 |

When this movie ran on TV in the late '70s, there were two additional scenes: first the sequence with the '54 Chevy was longer; the guys get into a race with it and when they're running side by side a semi (early sixties Ford pulling an empty car hauler) approaches them head-on. The kid in the '54 swerves to miss it and plows into a ditch, smashing up the front end pretty badly. The second scene shows the obsessed cop pulling a gun on a yellow '57 Chevy that is parked in front of a grocery store which turns out to be the wrong car. -- Last edit: 2012-05-04 04:14:55 |

I plan on working on this soon, I caught it in HD. Then if someone gets the blu-ray later we can upgrade. |

wouldn't be better to wait for the bluray ? it's scheduled to be released for 12th november and it claims to be brand new 2K remaster , if that's the case it will be dead sure much better quality than TV rip Link to "www.amazon.com" https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=24945 -- Last edit: 2019-10-03 19:25:02 |

Ok, go for it! |

I'm sorry but these new replacements are clearly not in Blu-Ray or even HDTV quality. Rather a low resolution DVDrip. 640 pixels wide should be enough. -- Last edit: 2019-12-29 18:32:08 |

VAlidators - Leave this one alone until I get a chance to look at what I have saved to compare |

That's what was shown on TCM HD, I think it's the print of the film and not a bad DVD rip. I set them to 720px. The ones I did were very similar in quality. |

Quite a difference in the cropping top and bottom, too:![]() -- Last edit: 2020-01-04 06:08:02 |

yes, you can see bit more on the sides however but those parts are just "dead" space with useless detail , you can tell it was never intended to be seen in cinema !! the problem is with old pre 2000 TV shows which were filmed with a 4:3 full frame in mind and studios cut the top and bottom to make them "widescreen" but this way often top of the heads are missing IMO movie or TV show they should just release them as the original creators intended it to be seen ![]() -- Last edit: 2020-01-06 19:22:08 |
