GodzillaFan54 ◊ 2024-07-29 17:56	1984 adventure comedy about two con artists who steal a ton of money from a rich guy and another scam artist on the run gets caught up in it all, along with Beverly De Angelo, and wacky slapstick hijinks ensue! From Richard Lester, director of Superman II & III! Three-star house being pulled by the red Kenworth, serves as the setting for the climactic slapstick fistfight. Cheap house or super-sturdy arch? Notable among the cast is a pre-fame Jim Carrey in a minor role! Dressed in his finest Canadian tuxedo! Set in 1973-era United States, but was actually filmed in Canada. Aside from a couple not-particularly-good Nixon/Watergate jokes from a superfluous character, the 1973 setting is largely pointless. Credit to the filmmakers, the anachronistic vehicles are at a minimum and none have square headlights! Film complete!
