Gary Oldman was good as Sid Vicious (although of course I'm far too young to remember the real bloke) in this portrayal of his rather sordid life. Nancy Spungen comes across very like the Courtney Love of the late 1970s (or maybe it should be Courtney Love is the new Nancy Spungen). |

Good Lord! I'd forgotten about her in this film! It's like she's spent the rest of her life still auditioning for the part! |

it supposed this movie is set in 1978, and is TOO MANY 80s cars, what a anachronism |

Yeah, like that one M-Bodied Chrysler Taxi Sid stepped into when he was break dancing with that one kid. Actually, it's supposed to be set between 1975 & 1978. |

Is this red one worth listing? |

I think it's a Citroën 2cv van, AK400 ... but there are greater experts on 2cvs than me on this site |

You're absolutely right, Chris40! It's a 1970-1973 Citroën 2CV AK400, which means the car was at least 13 years old... But even I doubt if it's really worth listing... |

A GMC HM-Series, which NYC Sanitation Department had plenty of in the 1970's. Too bad the street-name sign is an anachronism. Hint for future movie-makers; The 5 Boroughs all had their own colors for street-name signs until 1983. -- Last edit: 2012-09-26 22:55:32 (G-MANN) |
