 You wouldn't understand, unless you were a happy-go-lucky kid in the mid-late 90s. Back then, we were all into upbeat and catchy songs that we could jump around and play and dance to - we never tended to analyze the lyrics much. It was all about having fun.

Of course, there's also this version if you're the sorta cut-to-the-cheese type.

 Basically it was when you got older that all the songs that you loved had meanings you didn't think were there. In my high school, we analyzed quite a few of them. And that was NOT a fun process (I went to a shit school lol)

 to me it has a kid relation, one of my neighbor had kids and they took the floor ( which is a close relative of my ceiling ) for a wrestling mat and a race track, so boum boum boum & kids were related... :D

but i never understood the buzz around it , like many of the songs now... sometimes it looks like more the lyrics are stupid, bigger is the success... one day someone will sing his grocery list.... :lol:

i might buy the grocery list song if it has some good guitar in it.. :whistle:

but on this song it's VERY specific and clear, half naked woman in the video and "I'll be your love tonight " and "I want you in my room let's spend a night together from now until forever " , it's right in your face


ohh to think that some kids sing this in front of their parents and I still don't get why kids thought that song if for them :o


the likes of Peter Gabriel made it more hidden and not right in your face with hidden workds like

 What is unfortunate is nowadays music is either Hipster crap or is all "let's kill cops and rape women and smoke 50 pounds of weed". Plus it all sounds the same like they are using the same background sounds/mix for it and I think some of it may be why kids today are such little wimps. I cannot tolerate what people in my age group listen to. That's why I listen to music that is actually good.
