Every year since 1996, Jeremy Clarkson has released his own brand of annual DVDs, all of which have had a very similar flair throughout. Each DVD will normally contain its own theme, and are often a good source of entertainment, even if not quite as sophisticated as Top Gear.

In this release, Jeremy sets out to find 7 winners and sinners, in the form of 7 excellent cars from 2005 and 7 dreadful cars that are to be destroyed, with each candidate being sent to "heaven" or "hell". Whilst it was a good release on the whole, I felt that it did seem a little too linear like Shootout again, but certainly more entertaining with the inclusion of a large count of destruction acts. However, I also got the impression that Clarkson is perhaps becoming tired of his annual releases in this one, as he again lacks previously seen enthusiasm. Highlights include an Austin Metro replicating the car park scene from the 70s film The Driver, and the delightfully controversial killing of the Perodua Kelisa, featuring Jeremy smashing it up in front of the dealership he had just purchased it from. As well as cheesy guitar music throughout, these releases also have an annual tradition of Clarkson destroying "some kind of awful car", which for me is always the highlight. In this instance, Jeremy destroys:

The Renault Espace - converted into a convertible people carrier (later replicated in Top Gear) before splitting in half.
The Triumph TR7 - used in a game of jousting versus a Ford Scorpio, before being involved in an explosive head-on collision.
The Ford Scorpio - used in a game of jousting versus a Triumph TR7, before being involved in an explosive head-on collision.
The Austin Metro - smashed around a car park by Russ Swift in an attempt to replicate the car park scene from The Driver.
The Toyota Carina Estate - driven into a wall in the same car park before catching on fire.
The Citroen 2CV - crushed by a giant weight.
The Perodua Kelisa - hilariously and repeatedly hit by a sledgehammer outside the very dealership he bought it from before being hung by a weight and then finally blown up.

These destruction acts, plus the remaining ones in all of his DVDs, can be found in a recent mix I made - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TzNeEHhARY
