The plane is a Douglas DC-3, or, to be precise, quite likely the Tp79 (C-47A), cn 9103, of the Swedish Air Force. The registration SE-BAA, seen here /vehicle_164205-Ford-V8-De-Luxe-81A-1938.html, was once used on a Douglas-Fokker DC-3-214, c/n 1947, bought in 1937 by the Aktiebolaget Aerotransport (ABA) (in 1939 renamed to Swedish Air Lines, in 1950 to Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS)), and was flown until 1953. The second one see in the above mentioned link could be the SAS owned SE-CFP (c/n 13883), a Douglas C-47A Skytrain (DC-3A-456). ---- Very interesting is this three-wheeled airfield fuel tanker, seen in the DC-3 picture above: I remember having seen a picture of a comparable vehicle before and I believe to remember that it was of US origin. |

That little fuel tanker is a (British) Thompson TB3, possibly the first film appearance for the type! |
