1954 DeSoto Firedome [S19] convertible coupe 1 of 1025. Rear fender trim not visible or not present. http://www.the-forum.com/auto/desoto2.htm specifically: http://www.the-forum.com/auto/images/desoto9.jpg -- Last edit: 2007-11-20 11:15:19 |

The chrome trim on the front fender and the shape of the rear deck make me say this is a circa 1951 Chevrolet. A 54 DeSoto would have a more squared off shape on the rear fender. Comments?? |

That's why it didn't look right, I was too liberal with how much chrome the view allowed. Some of it seems to blend in, and, you're absolutely correct. The DeSoto front fender trim should have an extra spear off the top of the model/series badge, and I agree on the rear fender contour. So this should be a Styleline Deluxe convertible coupe [1067] in Fathom Green Poly 1 of 20,172 total convertible producttion (a little less rare ) Link to "clubs.hemmings.com" -- Last edit: 2007-11-20 16:03:34 |

That's the car. But according to my info the chassis code should be [2134]. |
