1985+ 3a serie 'abarthized' but 5 doors :D

" Abarthization " looks not bad at all...

Indeed, usually I'm not really a fan of customizations on older cars but I like this one, and even 90s alloys look good on it :)

Now I notice that it has 1983-85 round door handles, so it's not only customized but also updated with 1985+ rear panel/bumper.

or maybe a 1985 ?

On 5 doors, handles were changed contemporarily to the rear plate moving on the bumper (3 doors kept round handles) ;) plate is fake. Also the scene in which is falling into the water looks fake..at least that's what I hope..

@Baube, since here we have a tasteful "abarthized" Ritmo, I happened to find a picture from an 80s catalogue of an italian tuning company (Lester) of a body kit for Ritmo I, with Golf I rear lights :wow:
I can't find the right smiley to describe it..

Another typically 80s kit is seen in this article on a Cabrio: https://www.quotidianomotori.com/automobili/bubble-car-corsico-tuning-anni-80/

would the [:puke] one by too much ? .. if not, maybe [:sarcastic] or [:halalala] could work.. ;)
( our main Abarthized one still looks better by a mile.. even two,three.. )

ouch, looks like the only good thing that came out from Bubble Car is those wheels ..
( i think they could look nice on mk2 Golf/Jetta .. )

Yes, I was looking for the puking smiley :D
I have to admit that I quite like those wheels too..but the Bubble Car Lancia Delta is terrible, how to ruin a great design..
From the same company of the Ritmo I posted yesterday :wow:

..and, just to close the 80s tuning OT, a not bad (IMHO) Fiat Uno Personal with body kit styled by Giugiaro:

looks like they have a square headlight fixation.. at least they resisted the temptation to slap 4 of them on the 911..

i don't know how the original Uno should look like but the front of this one makes me think more of a facelifted Renault 5 than a Fiat..

i wonder how many owners paid Bubble Car probably thousands to disfigure their cars..

Were those kits successful? First time I see something like this :wow:

I believe the square headlights were an 80s trend :D anyway, I'm younger but I don't think I ever saw any car with these kind of kits (btw the 5-Series is from Lester, another tuning company), and I must say I don't regret it  I believe mainly in the 80s/early 90s you could meet them..

PS: @AleX_DJ, have you solved your issue with the forum access? I sent a PM to you some time ago :)

Oh no, you are right :wow: I'm sorry, I didn't try it again. I apologize for this, I hope it was nothing urgent!

@antp: what can I do for this? It always tells me 'Login or password incorrect, unable to login', although I tried several times to reset my password

No, don't worry :D I had the same problem as you some time ago, antp gave me a new password ;)

Just send me an e-mail and I'll manually reset the password of your forum account, if it fixed the issue for Bux_48 I suppose it will work too ;)
