It is actually a Corvette that has been pimped by the Derham Co. of New York. ther ewas an article on Derham Customs in Hemmings Motr News a few years back and all the Derham cars in that JB movie were mentioned. |

Correct. It's one of a rare few custom Chevrolet Corvette cars that wetre customized by Les DUNHAM [not Derham] of Boonton, NJ. This one was used in the James Bond movie. It was made to look like a pimped up Cadillac Eldorado and was named the "Corvorado". Read all about it on this page of the Cadillac Database (search under Dunham Coach): www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_txt/Drm70-74.htm The car does not fit the definition for that page (custom cars on Cadillac chassis), but it looked so much like an Eldorado, I just had to include it. |

The name CORVORADO ist CORV (from Corvette) + ORADO (from cadillac eldORADO). 7 was design and hand build by Les Dunham, Boonton, NJ. It\'s real a Corvette C3 + many Cadillac Eldorado -Parts outside. I\'m a big Fan of Les Dunham. I have much Pics of CORVORADO and Caballista. In the final of the LIVE AND LET DIE Movie is written: Exotic Cars by DUNHAM COACH MOTOR CAR CO., NJ. My Car is a 1980 Corvette C3 Caballista Convertible, design and handbuild by Les Dunham, Boonton, NJ. |

![]() ![]() Whisper's (Earl Jolly Brown) pimpmobile has a gadget, the wing mirror fires poison darts and there is a targeting screen in the dashboard. He uses this to kill Charlie, the driver of the car Bond is in, and it goes out of control. ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2012-10-14 19:34:21 |

Actually I can tell that it's based on a Corvette by looking at the doors and the dashboard, The C3 Corvettes had a large speedometer & tachometer in front of the driver, There were 3 smaller gauges for fuel, engine temperature, alternator and oil pressure on the console in front of the shift lever, I'm guessing that this Corvorado probably has the Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission and is powered by a 454 big block V8 with either a 4 barrel Holley or Quadrajet carburetor. |

Lets make Dunham Coach the make, and Corvorado the model. |
◊ 2012-01-23 03:01 |
no because Dunham Coach is not a make, the VIN on this car will still come back to a Chevrolet Corvette... |

Listing as Dunham Coach Corvorado is much better. Because nearly none of the outside parts are from a Corvette, we list step vans (like Boyertowns, for instance) get listed by the body maker, not the chassis maker...So, it would be obvious to do the same here...wrenchhead even disagreed on this being listed by the chassis make (AC Cobra) so we listed it as ''Made for Movie Mercedes-Benz SSK'' /vehicle_105674-Made-for-Movie-Mercedes-Benz-SSK.html so here we should list as make: Dunham Coach, model: Corvarado. -- Last edit: 2012-03-07 04:27:19 |

Check out the shape of the A pillar and roof line, that says C3 Corvette..this can also be solved easily by figuring out if it is rear drive or front drive...all eldorados from this era were front wheel drive.. |
