Geo Metro. Not sure when it was restyled but this is the original 1989 design. |

Movie shot in Canada. Nameplate on left side of the hatch looks like a gray sticker decal. Perhaps a Pontiac Firefly? |

As this is shot in Canada this is either a 89-early 1991 Chevrolet Sprint, or an 89-1990 Pontiac Firefly. It would be much easier to tell which one it is if the badges weren't removed from the door The Sprint should have a silver "Sprint" badge and the Firefly should have a red "Firefly" badge on the door. as for the rear both the Sprint and Firefly have a silver badge on the left of the rear hatch "Chevrolet" and "Pontiac" respectively. Both were available with the wheels but in the thumbnail the rear centre cap looks more like the Pontiac "arrowhead" than Chevrolets "bowtie" So I am going to say 1989-1990 Pontiac Firefly...comments? -- Last edit: 2010-07-10 23:33:01 |

Than why does this car have door mounted seatbelts? |

I cannot remember ever driving a car with a seat belt mounted on the door rather than the B-Pillar. Is this some strange American thing? Even on the 307CC where there was no B-Pillar the seatbelts were mounted behind the door rather than the door itself. -- Last edit: 2012-06-23 04:55:08 |
