Pics taken from episode 'the hospital visit' This is 437 bxa, the same vehicle used in carry on matron |

Tried to add the picture from t2steve's thumbnails on the main page but it said the file was too big for its height/width |

It is because it was too big, the message is not there for nothing It works when you check the "recompress" option (which produces then a pic of half the size of the original) |

As long as it's a JPEG file, I don't think there should be a size limitation based on height/width. |

I do not see why we should accept nearly-not-compressed files Currently there is about 14 GB of pictures, if we did not limit the size how big would that be? (ok, not so much, maybe 3 times the size, but still...) There is a limitation since the beginning, it was several times raised, and now it is even computed on the basis of width/height and amount of detail in the picture, so it does not cause problems for HD pictures. Why do you whine about that? You should not have encountered problems with your pics anymore, do you? -- Last edit: 2010-11-08 20:14:38 |

I'm sorry, I shouldn't have complained. I just got a little irritated when it wouldn't let me add the image, and I forgot about the compressing option. |

437 BXA again - Feb 61 - July 63 series, so probably 62 for mid-sequence. |

It is ep. 1.5. My pics aren't of perfect quality, but maybe better? Worth to swap? (For sure it is larger) -- Last edit: 2017-01-26 22:15:32 |

hi dsl, i have been away from the website for a while until i started viewing again yesterday. i'm interested in your comments in regard to wandsworths and what the dates you are referring to as above; Feb61 - july 63 for mid sequence, means ??? What is your experience of these vehicles? i ask out of interest as i have a lot of knowledge but never enough and always learning. Regards |

^ It's all from number plate reference guides - I usually use Glass's index of registration numbers books. So 1 BXA was issued in Feb 61, until 999 BXA in July 63. Therefore guesstimate 437 BXA likely to have issue date sometime during 1962. Apart from observing that 437 BXA has several entries on the database as a frequently seen example in period films, my experience of these vehicles is nil, so all knowledge welcome. |
