I guess a scene from Cuba? So it's most likely a Custom Made one-off or an old car that has had Beetle wheels put on it to replace old wheels. |

the chassis is not from a Beetle IMHO, the distance of the axles is too big. And I cannot say, that it has Beetle-wheels. They are bigger, rather from a Sovietish Jeep, GAZ or so. |

Moskvitch 2140 ? Very common on Cuba. |

Hmmm, aren't the wheels too big for a normal car? What has a Moskvitch, 14"? I still think, they are Jeep-size. |

I'm not sure. But distance between axis looks too big for jeep-oid IMHO. Maybe based on Niva? http://pcstorebg.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/image34.png -- Last edit: 2010-11-30 22:38:40 |

Niva has a much shorter wheelbase compared to the car pictured and the type of wheels in the main picture don't fit on a Niva. |

I still think that it is a bug. Wheelbase I think that I do not matter For example Bug is 2400mm Porsche 356 is 2000mm Making 356 replica cutting 400mm. I seem rear axle is Independent Suspension. Not jeep. And rear box is engine compartment |

But the wheels are surely too big, as from a Beetle or T1. They are looking for me like GAZ or UAZ. |

I found it, by complete accident http://www.allcarindex.com/main-index/car-make-details/Cuba-Unecamoto/ Apparently, it's a Model A replica. |

Should be listed as 2000 Unecamoto Coleccion Habana. |
◊ 2018-10-04 18:06 |
Coleccion means collection. And Unecamoto "is affiliated to the Ministry of Communication of Republic of Cuba and is the largest production and marketing group for the automotive industrial equipment in Cuba" ( http://www.sinomach.com.cn/en/MediaCenter/News/201412/t20141209_21667.html ). This car doesn't look like product of state-owned company. It's rather private initiative... -- Last edit: 2018-10-04 18:09:29 |

Well, at least we found it. |

Here's another pic: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" This was taken in Cuba the same year as this film, with "Colleccion Habana" badge on the grille. They really do seem to be built by a company: Link to "1.bp.blogspot.com" http://carbrandsincurrentproduction.blogspot.com/2015/01/unecamoto.html -- Last edit: 2021-02-22 10:03:20 |

Hmm... ("Unecamoto's productions, such as the Microbus for 20 people and a replica of the 1928 Ford, called the Habana Collection, totally built in the country —both products already with important orders in the portfolio— are sample buttons of the efforts of Cuban companies to meet the essential triangle of competitiveness: quality-deadlines-prices.") http://www.granma.cu/granmad//2001/05/31/nacional/articulo15.html |
