First thought was Volvo but the curved rear window is making me think of MK3 Cortina: |

I haven't sussed this one out - either from these pics or during the screenings. Same 1st thought as Volvo but it does not fit; neither does Mk3 Cortina. The kink is perhaps more Morris Marina and this maroon is more a BMC colour, but I'm not yet fully convinced. Maybe late 60s rather than early 70s?? |

I'd think this is a Morris Marina Estate... (high belt-line under the last side window, lower round und upper sharp edges of the windshield, quarterlights). |

Ah, too late again |

We may not need to decide immediately - this flashback has been in all 4 episodes shown so far of 6, without a clear view yet. Eps 5 or 6 might resolve it in the next few days. |

@dynamike. A bowl of Shredded Wheat this morning. |

I have no doubt that it is a Morris Marina. Note, besides the details DynaMike mentioned, the fresh air intake area, which is also slightly different on a Cortina. Presence of quarterlights indicates a Mk1 or Mk2; with that visor it looks rather unique. Could be this very car: http://www.morrismarinaecosse.com/020520107040000.jpg |

Indeed there is another Marina in the show so maybe that club helped provide cars for filming. |

@fortengo - nice find, especially with the visor. Next eps are this coming Sunday and Monday, so watch this space.... |

So the BBC in their infinite wisdom, after flogging the flashback scene to death in each episode 1-4, don't show it in eps 5 and 6. In terms of drama, a huge relief, but means no further progress here. I'm happy to accept the Scottish Marina because of the visor, but no confirmation it was The One. DVLA details for SWP 410P are: Date of Liability 01 11 2011 Date of First Registration 27 05 1977 Year of Manufacture 1977 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1798CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable. Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour RED. Other sites add it's a Super Deluxe, but by 1977 that was the only estate trim. So 1977 Morris Marina Mk2 Estate 1.8 Super? -- Last edit: 2011-06-21 03:54:04 |

The marina estate belongs to me. I was quite disappointed the full car was not shown. However it is featured in the new bbc tv series HUNTED being shown in the autumn starring Melissa George. I also had my 71 saloon featured i Crimewatch for a murder that took place in Edinbugh, A few years back my Ital estate was featured in the key and also in an episode of monarch of the glen.It was also me ex white marina saloon that had a piano dropped on it up the alps by top gear. |

Carla Bruni's car? /vehicle_239855-Morris-Marina-ADO28-1977.html |

Who is Carla Bruni anyway. All the rubbish about the French presidents wife was a load of crap and why the marina owners club got involved i dont know because it was a marina ecosse car not one of theirs. However I am looking forward to seeing my estate on tv come September. |

See /vehicle.php?id=537713 for its appearance in Hunted (as 5055's comment). |
