Not AK, which was the model code used for the 1941 ½-ton model only. Chevrolet indeed, as the grille of the GMC CC/EC-Series has only horizontal bars. These 1941-47 trucks are unofficially called Art Deco by fans, but Chevrolet didn't give this truck line a real name: the make used several model codes, depending on the nominal rating, the wheelbase and the model year. • The chromed grille means a 1941-42 or 1946-47 model, but no detail can help to say more; • Dual rear wheels and heavy-duty wheel rims indicate: ∗ a 1941-42 1½-ton Heavy-Duty model; ∗ a 1946-47 1½-ton 4100 / 4400 or a 2-ton 6100 / 6400. Anyway, it doesn't look like the standard stake sold by Chevrolet: it's more likely a home-made one based on the factory platform (4108 / 4408 Chevrolet code if 1941-42 model, 4108 / 4408 / 6108 / 6408 code if 1946-47 one). ⇒ 1941 Chevrolet Heavy-Duty Platform -- Last edit: 2015-07-08 17:53:29 |
