I am quite convinced that this is a Fordson Major, Super Major or Power Major. Giveaways are the bottom trailing edge of the engine cover, the location and shape of the cover release catches, the placement of the lights and the length of the stalks the lights are mounted on (although many had them in the grille), the curvature of the leading edge of the bonnet and the shape of the raised section. The wheels are non-standard, though, I cannot quite make out the shape of the mudguards, and it obviously has a bottom-exit exhaust system. Have a look at: Link to "www.tractorshed.com" Link to "www.tractorshed.com" Link to "www.tractorshed.com" Link to "www.tractorshed.com" Link to "www.tractorshed.com" |

You're right about it being a Fordson . It's a Super Major export spec dating from about 1961-2 . You can just make out the bonnet badge , it has SM hydraulics and export spec [to France anyway ] always had lights on the side of the cowl and nearly always a horizontal exhaust . Rear wheels are some sort of non standard rowcrop type . |
