Link to "www.lfoc.co.uk" Although I think this is not a saloon, the depth of the roof and front windscreen suggest one of the quite numerous shooting breaks built in the forties to avoid the 66 2/3% purchase tax imposed by the car hating government of the time, on vehicles costing over £1,000 pre tax. The breaks were considered to be commercial vehicles, thus free of purchase tax. I think that it is reasonable to call this a Fourteen, on numbers built. http://www.pamelasmusic.co.uk/Library/carpage/Leafranciswoody.htm -- Last edit: 2017-02-04 20:25:31 |

It is a six digit plate - XS 654x. XS 6548 was a white MG Tourer registered in Dec 48 on some check sites, but not DVLA. Other 654x long gone, ditto just 654. |
