It surprised me too but the MGA 1600 Mk II had horizontal rear lights. |

This is a MG MGA 1600 Roadster MkII of 1961 to 62. This cars had 90° turned Mini lightunits. |

Cresta1957 was spot on, it is a 1961 MkII model, we supplied this vehicle to the film company. |

MGA 1600 MkII production run began in early 1961...ran for about 15 - 18 months before they retooled for the MGB. The modular tail/stop/signal lights came off the Morris Minor, and the grille was recessed. The dash was completely covered in vinyl, from the windshield back. |
