Well, we can find a shorter way to mention that. What is exactly the after marked modification? |

Cadillac didnt build a convertible DeVille in 1978, somebody cut the roof off this one, aftermarket 1978 Cadillac DeVille non-factory convertible, is that better? -- Last edit: 2007-04-20 23:22:51 |

I do not remember how we called previous cars like that. I thought that it was "hand-made convertible" but I did not find the one that I expected. |

Yeah, that sounds more to the point. |

There was a company called "Coach Builders Limited" in Pompano Beach, Florida, who built the "Se Lina" convertible, based on the regular 1977 "Coupe de Ville". One of them was on display at the New York show in 1977. At $21,000 per car (twice the price of the regular coupe), the company hoped to sell around 50 units per annum. This movie car may be a 1978 version of the "Se Lina" ...or it may be just an amateur convrsion, though it seems well made. |

Or it could be one of the well known Le'Cabriolet custom convertibles. Or possibly a Paris convertible, it would be easier to tell with the top up. However, this is definitly not just a custom hack job, it was done by a coach builder. |
