Body colour wheel paint usually means 2.4; cutaway spats were Sept 57 onwards on 2.4s with disc brake option (at the same time as wider 3.4 grille fitted), and then Jan 58 on all 2.4s. @bob dieck - you're right about Mark I being retrospective name used only after release of Mark II, but it's the easiest way of doing it and widely used now. Similar situations for pretty well every Mark 1 version of anything on imcdb; in this case it's useful because our chances of successfully splitting all these Jags into 2.4 or 3.4 would be mind-bogglingly difficult and lead to an outbreak of insanity. |
