I am not convinced but the grille is in a very Bentley style. |

It is a Derby Bentley but will need some research unless Rob recognises the coachwork. |

I cannot find it in my books, the hood looks to be German, with that design of landau iron, the lights look like Marchal, so..... Is there any significance in the 1935 number plate? If so, it's probably a 3 1/2 litre. The car does not appear to be in any Bentley Drivers Club members list since 2006. -- Last edit: 2017-03-22 16:08:56 |

It looks to me to be a 1935 Bentley 3 1/2 litre Drop Head Coupe by VanVooren, Paris. Early designs on the Derby Bentley followed standard convertibles by Park Ward and VandenPlas quite closely (BTW both these coachbuilders also used hood irons like this). It is set apart by some details, particulary the low fitted small Marchal Aerolux headlamps often fitted in France. |
