They're International, and this might be a little higher than a 4700. |

That's actually an 8000 series International. IHC used the "S" Model cabs for medium and some heavy duty trucks. You can identify the S-model cab by the recessed clearance lights. 9000 series trucks used roof mounted clearance lights as well as a different cab. Another way to tell is the extra grille piece in the bottom of the hood. An interesting side note, that cab can have the entire center of the floor removed to accomodate different sized engines or different BBC measurements. The 8000 series trucks are "snub-nosed" so larger engines reach deep into the cab area. -- Last edit: 2009-03-24 02:06:21 |
