I always thought that colour of the the rubber strip on the bumper was an indication of the model: black for 2CV 4, grey for 2CV 6. But here I read 2CV 4 and the bumper is all grey... Now I found in a special magazine of "Gazoline" about 1961-1990 2CV (Hors-série #25) that the colour of the rubber indicates the year: 2CV 4 and 6 from February 1970 till September 1970 had black rubber, later models had grey rubber. The script on the bootlid changed in July 1973; since then it was in black characters on a chromed plate, before it were just chromed characters. So this car is a 1971-1973 2CV 4, and the colour is Rouge Masséna (AC 423). -- Last edit: 2007-06-08 23:34:56 |

Btw. it seems that the license plate is Dutch. And the bumper is slightly high... |

This would of been imported as 2cv's were sold in UK from 1974 |
