The lights went out to the wings in 1968/69, but it is quite possible that these wings are from a newer Series III. It is just a bolt on job. The one-piece windscreen only arrived with the Ninety/One Ten models in 1983/84. It does indeed look like a windscreen without a middle strut, almost like those on the Land-Rover Santana Series IIIa. If the middle strut is really missing and not just a trick of light or bad image compression, then it probably was locally made ... not too difficult, really. The points that tell that it is a Series II/IIa are the windscreen hinges. These are right on the edge of the bulkhead. From Series III on different hinges were used. |
