But with the pointed tailfins, the small indicators and the logo on the bonnet instead of in the middle of the grille, it can be determined as a Series I (October 1959 - October 1960), Series II (October 1960 - February 1963) or Series III (March 1963 - January 1964). Later series and Tiger can be excluded.
sixcyl ◊ 2007-04-30 00:53	Agreed. Except that "Series I" wasn't labelled as the following Alpine (series II, III etc..), but as Sports Car. The 1961 MY became " Alpine Series II" with a 1.6L engine instead of the former 1.5L
