Is that really a BJ 212? The body is completely different from the original. |

Yeah it's not the body we all know, but there have been such variations. Link to "img1.fblife.com" Link to "img1.fblife.com" |

Descriptions on the linked pics say it is BAW? According to "Samochody Świata" car with body similar to the one in movie was branded Xiangshan BS 2020 M or BS 5020 (it is its late 90s name, it has smaller side windows on the pic). Car very similar to this one Link to "img1.fblife.com" was named Xijing XJQ 1030. In the late 90s at least 4 different manufacturers made "jeeps" similar to the classic Beijing/BAW BJ. There is ofc. possibility, that earlier such versions were made by BAW on its own. -- Last edit: 2017-05-11 21:51:59 |

In case of pick-up rather not, as "1" was 1st digit used in names of trucks. In case of the red wagon body it looks like conversion of pick-up, but IMO, if it is factory made car, its name should rather start with "2" (4x4) or "6" (bus, wagon) or "5" (vehicles made for special purpose including e.g. ambulances). -- Last edit: 2017-05-11 22:05:58 |

maybe "custom body" could be put into the extra info? To differentiate it from the stock body, maybe one day the refit workshop who made these will be found... |
