Have you seen Guangzhou exactly with the same look? I'm asking, because the thicker B-pillar and the type of plastic overlay above bed is exactly like in Zhujiang GZ 5020 X, but maybe it had twin branded Guangzhou-Peugeot. Zhujiangs were made by different daughter company of Guangzhou named Guangzhou Auto Plant, when cars made in direct cooperation with Peugeot were made by GPAC - Guangzhou-Peugeot Automobile Corporation. -- Last edit: 2017-05-08 22:50:54 |

No, I just based the info on what was provided here by Wikipedia, there is not much info about such variations on the Internet. Maybe this entry would require a second look, too: /vehicle_1029993-Guangzhou-Peugeot-504-Pick-up-1989.html -- Last edit: 2017-05-08 23:03:05 |

The linked ons is even more exotic! In case of the car on this page, I would go with Zhujiang GZ 5020 X, it looks exactly the same with this overlay (I can provide pic from catalogue tomorrow). Yangcheng had the same body, as we can see, but Zhujiang was direclty linked to Guangzhou company and YCACO/Yangcheng seems not - perhaps they just bought "naked" bodies from Gunagzhou. EDIT: Just for the record - I've just opened 1999 edition of catalogue and there is Yangcheng also with this overlay (model YC 1021 QS) - but like I wrote above Zhujiang is better choice as default possibility. Chinese cars which names started with 5 were special vehicles of all types, as Yangcheng made the same looking car with code, which starts with "1" (1021), it means this body/overlay wasn't unique only for special version and this way also in case of the Zhujiang it can be the "ordinary truck" version named GZ 1021. Sorry for a little chaotic message, but having informations in many paper sources, you sometimes can't reach final conclusion in one go. -- Last edit: 2017-05-09 23:11:03 |
