When Terminator leaves burning truck, you can see headlight bezel...burned truck was equipped with small twin headlights, like old Pete or KW |

Does it looks like burned out Transtar? |

Since they didn't blow a real one, should they burn real one? First Terminator wasn't high budget movie. |

Thank you, rjluna2 -- Last edit: 2012-11-18 18:41:09 |

ИМХо, если кто-то опознает кабину, можно будет в комментах её особо отметить.) |

Yep. It would be great if anyone recognize model of burning truck. My wild guess its a Peterbilt 352. |

Oh. Look at the picure and you will see some two guys in lower left corner.) |

Matter of fact, the SFX Team made a small scale replica of the truck (but basic, 'coz the budget doesn't allow it) and the street where the explosion happened. if they made the truck explode in real scale the blast would be too dangerous for the cast and crew. |

The first time i saw the movie, i started to be afraid of trucks. i had a neighbor who he had the same truck as shown in the movie. the scary view from the bottom to the top is awesome. |

It's definitely a Peterbilt 352 Unilite 73" sleeper cab when you see it burning. You can tell by the teardrop headlight surrounds, which, pointed out earlier, are duals, as well as the small step over the round front wheel arch. The IH transtar had none of those features. When I originally saw the movie, I thought they doctored up a Ford W9000 to resemble the IH before blowing it up. -- Last edit: 2019-10-18 19:58:52 |
