![]() ![]() Looks like some pickups are indeed called BJ121, in this case the specially bodied SUVs used pickups as a base? But the rear overhang seems longer on our car. http://forum.xitek.com/thread-68578-1-1-1.html http://forum.xitek.com/thread-920252-25-1-2.html http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3760608226?red_tag=r1291958468 ...and then there are BJ2021S and BJ2032S http://www.jumy.de/suv-htms/beijing.htm -- Last edit: 2017-05-13 14:47:57 |

I bet the BJ 121 had to be 4x2. Similar distinction of names in case of BAWs pickups was also in the late 1990s, when BJ 1021 were 4x2 pick-ups and e.g. 2032 were 4x4 pick-ups. So from the point of view of Chinese naming system the fact that vehicle was 4x4 (off roaders = names with "2") had to be more important than type of body (truck/pick-up = "1"). I think the car on main pic has normal rear overhang. |
