1957 356 Speedster [T2], if it isn't a replica |

It has the light arrangement as of mid-MY1957 (April 1957) but is it a Speedster? Can't see the thin chrome window frame and the rounded corners of the Speedster. The T2 body was introduced for MY1958. Front end is out of sight, exhaust is another T2 change, but the door has no vent window, as a T2 Cabriolet would have. 1957 356A Cabriolet? |

Sounds plausable |

Original 356 A Convertible D (the Porsche 356 Cabriolet does not have chrome side moldings...) |

That may be a difference, there are Cabriolets with this trim line an Convertible Ds (how do you write this in plural?) without. For the way the shorter top is folded, a 1959 Convertible D, or a 1960+ Roadster. But AFAIK they had lost their towel rails, so rather the Convertible D then. Changed. |
