LNW 100 was Ian Appleyard/Dick Weatherhead winner on the 1948 Alpine Rally - seems Appleyard and Potter (Allard), were 1st equal at the finish so there was a short tie-breaker test consisting of accelerating, braking and reversing. Appleyard won by 0.3 seconds and so collected a coveted Coupe des Alpes for a penalty-free run; also a 2nd place on 1949 Tulip Rally in LNW 700. SS100 was not produced after WW2, but LNW 700 had been stored, unregistered through the war.
