In the episode, the vehicle belongs to a Belgian Jewish diamond dealer named Isaac Goldberg (played by Ben Caplan from "Call the Midwife") who drove the vehicle from Antwerp and across the Belgian-French border to Arpajon where he was shot and killed in the vehicle by the man, he was supposed to meet to sell some diamonds stolen in a raid on a jeweller's store in London. After Goldberg was killed, the murderer dumped his body and took the car to the local garage where his accomplices had resprayed the vehicle and changed the vehicle's Belgian number plates to a set of French number plates.
