![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() XOO 355F was the first Escort to appear in a rally (1968 San Remo) and the Andersson/Davenport car for several 1968 events. Driven here by Davenport for a fun weekend, it apparently (says the voiceover) still had its Tulip Rally plates from previous outing (where it finished 2nd). Apparently still survives XOO 355F Tax Not taxed for on road use MOT No details held by DVLA Vehicle make: FORD ECSORT ![]() Date of first registration: February 1968 Year of manufacture: 1967 Cylinder capacity (cc): 1558 cc Fuel type: PETROL Export marker: No Vehicle status: Tax not due Vehicle colour: WHITE ... but after various adventures in 1969 - when used as a practice car for 1969 Acropolis rally, it was stolen and used in a bank robbery, then recovered afterwards and sold to a Greek driver - the info trail goes dead, so unclear if it is still the genuine thing; plate info suggests on display somewhere in UK, but nothing found. |
