Actual Ambulance from back when the Ambulance services in Dallas were operated by....Funeral Homes!!! (I think DFD started doing it with their "M.I.C.U.'s" about 1973-74 when they started with having Paramedics,so I've been told??)(M.I.C.U.= "Mobile Intensive Care Unit") |

Also forgot to add.....Operator of this unit is "Dudley M. Hughes Funeral Service",which was once at Crawford Ave & Jefferson Blvd in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. Odd local trivia: The owner/operator of this Mortuary was later convicted for Cocaine Trafficking & Money Laundering? And this business would have been (at the time....neither the building or the business still exist?)one block down, and one block over from where Lee H. Oswald shot Officer J.D. Tippit,DPD? |
