This is not a 24/80 Mark I but is rather the earlier 15/60. The bodies of the two models are virtually identical (until you look under the bonnet!), there only being two noticeable differences. One is that the 24/80 had two jacking points as opposed to the 15/60's one (unfortunately not clear in this still, as the sill is in shadow). The other difference is that the 24/80 had a badge in chromed script in the upper part of the front wing, near the driver's door, which read "Wolseley Six". This car does not have that badge. Also, the 24/80 was only available in monotone finishes, aside from twelve or so cars that were a special order for a dealer in Queensland, and had white roofs. The finish on this car was, in Australia, only applied to the 15/60. |
