Interesting "wreck", which at the time of filming had to be out of regular service. Scene is set in town Płock, but according to plockibus.pl, they didn't have there Jelcz 272/AP-02/021 with fleet number 490. In 1978 Płock bought 4 second hand Jelczes 272 MEX withdrawn from service in Warsaw: http://plockibus.pl/204/jelcz-mex-272/ Meantime Jelcz 272 with number 490 was used in Warsaw since 1970 and then was removed from inventory in 08.1978: http://www.omni-bus.eu/szukaj/archiwalne/szukaj.php I bet, it must be this vehicle. So here it was already delivered to new owner, but wasn't yet in service and still waited for (clearly needed) renovation and new number. Acc. to plockibus.pl some old buses bought from Warsaw were in poor condition and they had to put a lot of work to make them usable again, what fits to appearance of this one .gif ";)") |
