4-door, so should be MG 1100? Which would make it a rare sight |

I rather suspect a Morris 1100 Mk I but I am sure at all. |

I don't think that was an option in the US |

This has Mk1 rear lights so early version (not Austin America). I think there were some very early Morris sales in US but as far as I can remember were 2 door and it was dropped quickly; unfortunately the best website to check this is down. Colour and possible lack of side trim could match a Morris, so I can see where e225's coming from. But MG would also match what's visible, and I can't see cream wheel paint for Morris. So MG safest choice. |

In my "Standard Catalogue of Imported Cars 1946-90", there is no mention of this model in the Morris section. It lists the Minor, Mini-Minor and Oxford until 1962, for 1963 the Minor 2-doors (sedan, convertible and wagon) and Mini-Minor (2-door and wagon), then this note: "By the mid-1960's, Morris disappeared from most lists of cars available on the US market, and after 1967, no Morris models were officially imported" The MG section lists the 1100 starting in 1963 in 2 and 4-door models, with a Princess model available from 1964-66, base models in 1967. There is a 1300 model listed under 1968, but no price given, so it probably was not imported officially. This guide can give some useful info, but I find it far from complete (especially Asian models). |

Looks like a black Peugeot on the same block, with a Renault Dauphine behind that |

^^ Cancel the Morris idea - my bible page is back up and has no Morris reference, and none found in my Bumper Book of ADO16s. But there is - for the record - a mysterious reference to a 1967-69 Austin 1100 2-door sold in US, possibly to use up excess 2-door MkI bodyshells, which in the photo strangely has the Morris Mk1 grille although no text reference to this anomaly. The Princess reference was a unique-for-US MG-badged VdP 1100, but apparently only sold 154 examples - would be fun to find one of them . |

My book only lists the Mini Cooper S for Austin in 1967, dropped for 1968; then says the America was introduced in May 1968 |
