Sunbar wrote At the back at the left, a Smith Appleyard, Statesman Ambulance on either LD or FG chassis.

Possibly FG by the perhaps longer wheelbase but too small to confirm

Edit: However the location of Bristol Temple Meads railway station ties in with
Bristol Ambulance Service's BMC FG delivered in 1969

Worth a page after that detective work. And I like the flickr comment "BMC FG with 3.5 litre straight 6 engine with four speed crash gear box. Statesman coachwork by Smith Appleyard. Delivered to City of Bristol Ambulance Service April 1969. Operational as front line emergency ambulance May 1969. Transfered to Avon Area Health Authority Ambulance Service 1st April 1974. Orange stripes added and bumper painted orange. Taken out of service March 1977. Later used for training and a recovery vehicle."
