I agree. The roof and sides does look a lot like the old "Contiential Trailways" Silver Eagle busses?? (But those were bigger, and had a second rear axle) |

And the badge on the rear is shaped like an eagle. ![]() |

EDIT: I had this marked as a Model 02. It is actually an 04 and was made sometime between 66 and 70 for the European market. -- Last edit: 2009-02-05 05:09:42 |

aah, sixcyl, you have confirmed it. ![]() surfing around this thread, over the pics of the peugeot 504, the ford capri and the bus, i ruminated about the location. i had the impression, i have seen it before. yes, you are passing it on the way from "the channel" to antwerpen and holland. i was there in 1996, on the way back from the nsu-meeting in the "mole valley" in england. and, as a little gag at least, i drove exactly this car, which is seen here at imcdb: /vehicle_181997-Volkswagen-K70-Typ-48-1973.html the previous owner took the same direction as me any my dutch friend, and he let me drive his k 70. ![]() p.s. the phone-number on the back from the bus is from dunkerque, too. i have googled for "royal tours", but i havent found anything. so perhaps a faked company, or its gone now. -- Last edit: 2009-02-02 16:14:30 |
