It is close, but not identical to this Dennis 4-ton with Dodson body from 1925: Also not too far off is this AEC K-Type from 1921: All three buses were registered in London City Center and from the letters 'XL' I assume that the bus was first registered in 1923. Steve, could you help? This is your territory! Bus No. 4017, Line No. 127, Reg. No. XL3784, operated in 1928 by LGOC. |

London General fleet number S375 (XL3784) - I think you'll find 4017 is the London licence plate as different from the registration number. |
