Nope. Russian Kia Rio based on the chinese Kia K2. Should the model origin be China then? -- Last edit: 2017-12-03 23:09:23 |

You have a good point. Not sure this was discussed. The Russian built do use their own chassis codes and do have a specific fascia. |

Looks like they have the [QB] code at Wikipedia site: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Rio#Russian/Chinese_version_(QB) -- Last edit: 2020-11-06 15:57:27 |

Wiki is wrong. Pull VINs. [QB] is not in the VINs. [CB] is. Wiki can be edited by anyone and thus should not be used as a reference source unless verified elsewhere. -- Last edit: 2020-11-06 16:24:05 |

Are you seriously questioning wikipedia? Just google Kia Rio QB you will find lots of other sites especially parts sites which use the QB/UB code as well. |

[QB/UB] are platform codes. I never said they weren’t used. However, our site, as it has evolved, has used platform codes and once chassis codes are discovered we have changed them. Wikipedia should only be used if you can validate the references. If the sentences or data doesn’t have a number indicating a linked source anyone could have added the sentence or paragraph. |
