Cosmetically this appears to be the one (of the two) that was given away in the contest in 77. But it had been repainted by new owner so someone must have had it later restored - somewhat - to Movie paint job. It looks really good, except some of the roof lights are different, and the headlights are round and not stacked headlights. |

The van in the photo J Jay posted was in Prosser Washington, and was used as a body double in parts of the movie. I know this because my home town of Grandview Washington is 7 miles away, and I met the owner years ago where the van was in the Grandview parade and displayed afterwards. |

I was watching an episode of A Man Called Sloane the other night on youtube, the name of the episode was called The Venus Microbe , the Mother Jugs and Speed ambulance was used in it, I recognized the 8 headlights and it was still in the F+B colors but the wild tires and wheels the fender flairs and side pipes were removed, they flipped the van and that pretty much destroyed it!
