Willys Jeep MB (if it is one), not Jeep Willys MB. |

I'd say it's not a real Willys. |

I'd say it's a real Willys MB (or Ford GPW) with some add-ons (head lights, windshield) of a later kind. A case to be submitted to dr. 4x4peru. |

Not a WWII jeep as it has external fuel filler, body side drain holes, larger headlights in 7 slot grille and a semifloating rear axle, all of post war Jeeps. It does have the military front lifting shackle and headlight protectors of the M38 but I feel these are added for a military look. In addition there is no cowl aux cover or hinged grille of the M38. The 3 panel windshield with a moveable center panel is from the CJ3A which also fits the small civy fuel filler. I would suggest this is a CJ3A with the headlight guards and lifting shackles added. A pic with better detail focus could also help. [Merci - done. DidierF.] -- Last edit: 2018-02-14 13:56:08 (DidierF) |
