The first Corvette was not a '59, but a Powder Blue 1960 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. Every year Chevrolet would give a brand new model for Tod and Buz (eventually Linc) to drive along Route 66. Despite rumors and "tales" of red and/or black Vettes being used on the show...according to interveiws with Martin Milner (Tod) and George Maharis (Buz) there never were any red or black ones. The producers purposely picked light blue and then eventually Fawn Beige colored Vettes because they filmed the best in black-n-white. So, the first car was a '60, then came a '61, a '62, and the last car used I believe was a Fawn Beige 1963 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible--which finished the show out through 1964. After Maharis (Buz) left the show part way into '63 a new member joined the cast: Glenn Corbett as "Lincoln 'Linc' Case." However, audiences didn't "take" to him as much so ratings fell. At the end of the 1963-64 season the show was cancelled.

The '60 only appears in the very first episode, it's replaced by the '61 in episode 1.2 For that reason, I would personally rank the '60 to be a four star vehicle. Obviously the '61 and later Corvettes would be five stars, since the whole point of the show is two guys touring the country in their Corvette and their car gets a great deal of screen time.
