Mm, why capital letters, it's not initials of anything, like SAAB or SIMCA. |

Most of the Sisus here are typed that way and on the vehicles I´ve seen it´s always capital letters. But you´re right the word is not short for anything, it´s finnish vocabulary and translates to endurance. And since the finnish endurance is great it might be proper to use capital letters ![]() I don´t think there´s an absolute correct way to type these brand names, it differs from brand to brand what might be best. For Sisu I´m ok with both ways. -- Last edit: 2007-06-17 12:58:56 |

Shall I rename them to lowercase? |

Interesting, those Finnish trucks(today's Sisus had missed a bit of its personality, becoming almost Renault clones--they use some cabs) PS LV is Finnish way to say abreviated "truck"???Or is Swedish acronym, like for older Volvos???(LV=Lastvagn=truck) -- Last edit: 2007-06-16 22:48:07 |

I don´t know about LV for finnish trucks, but I would guess that it´s not the same meaning as the swedish abreviation. |

Let´s see what BeanBandit thinks. I checked the Sisu homepage and they use both ways, lowercase when talking about the company and uppercase when talking about the vehicles. http://international.sisuauto.com/portal/english/about_sisu_auto/company_info/ |

If company itself is writing them as capital letters, then they can be like this on here too, I think. |

Finnish word is kuorma-auto, so the letters should be KA if that was the case. |
