Under usual circumstances, this would be a 1938+ Henney Formal limousine style funeral coach with special ornamentation as seen above, which was Henney's suggestion of a more modern style of ornate funeral coaches, because they didn't want to continue offering the 'old-fashioned' carved panel style hearses. But: Henney had an exclusive agreement with Packard! So if this is a Buick, there is only one way how that could have happened: The Brantford Coach Co. of Brantford, Ontario, was Henney's Canadian partner, who wasn't bound by a contract and thus allowed to mount Henney bodies on other chassis. In conclusion, this is an outstandingly rare 1938 Buick Brantford-Henney funeral coach - amazing! |
