Audi has introduced this new denomination for its new models some years ago in the chinese and indian market only, but with the new A8 D5 debut they decided to bring it in Europe too, so the next models (including the all new A7) will come with those new badges without displacement anymore but with the "power" number and engine technology (TFSI, TDI). Personally, I still have to get used to it.
